The Adventure Tour Operators Association of India organised its 26th Virtual Members Meet today, 12th November from 4pm to 5.40pm.

The event started with a welcome address by Sr. Vice President Mr. Tejbir Singh Anand, followed by member’s interaction for an hour.

  • Introduction of the new team – EC members
  • New Initiatives from ATOAI stables
    • Excellence in Adventure Travel Seminar in February 2023 – ATOAI announced a one day seminar to be organised on 13th February 2023 at the Indian Mountaineering Foundation. The will be a flagship event with an aim and objective to make India the top ten destinations in the coming decade. The seminar will have the presence of Tourism Secretaries of all States and UT’s.
    • ITM Mizoram – participation by 4 ATOAI members
    • ATOAI Members Advantage Card – ATOAI introduced a great concept which will benefit the members directly in their business – “ATOAI Member Advantage Card”. The card will empower its members in their marketing, sourcing, contracting and lowest possible B2B purchases enhancing their profitability. The association specially aims at strengthening its micro & small size company members. At the launch, the card immediately offers features such as special deals from Equipment manufacturers, contracting B2B rates with Hotels, deals with insurance companies, offering the biggest physical & digital marketing platform in India with confirmed B2B meetings and many more to come as we surge ahead.
    • ATOAI Women’s Collective – Introduction of the initiative & update by Chairperson Arshdeep Anand

ATOAI is working with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) to develop standards for different verticals of Adventure Tourism that can be a benchmark for the regulatory system. In a first step ATOAI and BIS  have initiated to develop the standard for Challenge Courses, Aerial Adventure Parks and Ziplines.

ATOAI President Mr. Ajeet Bajaj shared his team’s vision for the next 2 years for empowering associations’ members.

       National Board of Adventure Tourism

       ATOAI certified “First Safety Responder Courses” to be launched across the country with a  vision of empowering over 25000 people in the country

  ATOAI announced the formation of the ATOAI Chapter in the Five Regions – Western & Central Region, Southern Region, Eastern Region, North Eastern Region and Northern Region.

The members who will assume charge as ATOAI Chapter Chairman for each region:

•             Mr. Milind Bhide – Western & Central Region

•             Mr. Shekhar Babu – Southern Region

•             Mr. Oken Tayeng – North – Eastern Region

•             Mr. Amit Periwal – Eastern Region

•             Mr. Vaibhav Kala – Northern Region

 ATOAI CONVENTION IN SEPT/OCT 2023

ATOAI was honoured and delighted to have the presence of Mr. Ashwani Lohani, the Chief Executive Officer of the GMR Group, a stalwart of the industry as the Guest of Honour who addressed the house on Reviving Adventure Travel Post Covid -19 followed by an interactive session with the members.

Members from all across the country attended the online members meet. The attendance was from places like Kerala, Assam, Ladakh, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Haryana & Uttar Pradesh, to name a few.

Members very much appreciated the efforts done by ATOAI for its members and gave a big thumbs up for the online meetings initiative by the association.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the Honorary Secretary, Mr. Ronny Singh Gulati.
