Manali Wildlife Sanctuary
Manali Wildlife Sanctuary, located in the charming valley of Manali 2 km from the town, forms the catchments of Manalsu Khad. The tourists have to pass through a rough path covered with forests of Deodar, Horse Chestnut, Kail and Maple from the Manali Log Huts and Dhungri Temple.
Manali Wildlife Sanctuary is spread over an area of 31,80 sq km and is home to a variety of colorful flora and exotic fauna. Barking Deer, Flying Fox, Goral, Himalayan Black Bear, Himalayan Palm Civet, Himalayan Tahr, Himalayan Yellow Throated Marten, Indian Hare, Kashmir Flying Squirrel Leopard, Serow and Stripped Hyena form the population of the Manali Wildlife Sanctuary.
The best time to visit the Manali Wildlife Sanctuary is from the months of April to June and September to November.
