Wildlife - Tour in Chakrashila Wildlife Sanctuary

Location : Located in the Dhubri District of Assam and is 68 kms from Dhubri.

Area : 45.568 sq. kms.

Introduction : The sanctuary has a area of approximately 45.568 sq. kms, Chakrashila Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the Dhubri District of Assam and is 68 kms from Dhubri.This area was recognised as a Sanctuary by the Govt. of Assam on 14th July''''1994. It is surrounded by hills and there are two lakes on either side of the sanctuary.

Wildlife Species : Chakrashila Wildlife Sanctuary has many different mammals, birds, twenty three species of reptiles, more than forty butterfly species are found in this area. The world famous Golden Langur was discovered here in the year 1986. Hornbills are also seen here.
