Introduction : Located in the Karbi Anglong district, the sanctuary covers an area of 96 sq. kms. Animals commonly found here are Elephant, Leopard, water buffalo, deers, monitor lizard, pythons are also common. Birds spotted here are Great Himalayan hornbill, imperial pigeon, green pigeon, emerald dove, hill partridges, jungle fowl, pheasant etc. Reserved Forests are Holongpar in Jorhat District, Jaipur in Dibrugarh District, Barail in North Cachar District, Dhansiri in Karbi-Anglong District, Dumduma in Tinsukia District and Dipu-Chirang in Kokrajhar District.
