Wildlife - Tour in Kawal Wildlife Sanctuary.

Location : Adilabad district. Area : 893 sq. km.

Best Time to Visit : November-May.

Access : By Air : Hyderabad (260 kms) By Rail : 50km. from Kawal - Mancherial Railway Station By Road : At about 260 km. by road from Hyderabad, it is easily reachable by State owned bus services.

Introduction : Situated in the Adilabad District, the Kawal Wildlife Sanctuary is dry deciduous and has teak forest, bamboo and miscellaneous species. It is spread over an area of around 893 sq km. Two watch towers are constructed at Donga pa My and Alinagar villages. Here the visitor is treated to some spectacular sunrise and sunset.

Wildlife Species : The wild life found here is cheetal, sambar, nilgai, muntjac (barking deer), indian bison, sloth bear, panther,tiger and a variety of birds.
