Wildlife - Tour in Krishna Wildlife Sanctuary

Location : The park is located at 80 kms from Vijaywada in the Krishna and Guntur district. Area : 196.81 sq.kms.

Best Time to Visit : Oct-Feb.

Access : Rail : Nearest railhead is Vijaywada.

Introduction : Krishna Sanctuary is located near Avanigadda village, spread in to Krishna & Guntur district. It is at a distance of 80 km. from Vijaywada and is spread over an area of 196.81 sq. km.

Wildlife Species : Fishing cats, otters, jackals, estuarine crocodiles & a variety of birds are to be found in Krishna Wildlife Sanctuary.

Vegetation : The last surviving mangrove forests in the Krishna estuary with unique flora & fauna. The Sanctuary supports rich mangrove vegetation with plants like Rhizophora, Avicennia, Sonneratia, Aegiceros.
