Wildlife - Tour in Pench National Park

Location : Seoni, Madhya Pradesh.

Area : 757.85 sq kms.

Best Time to Visit : November 01st to June 30th each year and closed during the rainy seasons (July- Sept.).

Access: Air: Nagpur is the nearest airport at a diatance of 92 km from Pench National Park. Rail: Nagpur (92 Km). Road: The Park Can be reached from Nagpur and Jabalpur.

Introduction : Pench National Park, is located in the lower southern reaches of the Satpura hills and is named after Pench river which flows from north to south through the Pench National Park. It is located on the southern boundary of Madhya Pradesh, bordering Maharashtra, in the districts of Seoni and Chhindwara. Pench National Park is a part of the Project Tiger network of special reserves. The terrain is undulating, with most of the area covered by small hills, steeply sloping on the sides.

Wildlife Species : Wildlife found in the Pench National Park Tiger is the leopard, cheetal, sambhar, blue bull, bison, bhedki, four horned antelope, chinkara, black buck, wolf, hyena, peacock, wild boar, bear and many other species of birds are seen here.

Flora : Vegetation of the Pench National Park is mostely of teak, saja, haldu, sirar, bamboo etc are mainly found here.
