Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh -10th March 2025, The Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI) is proud to announce the successful completion of the Responsible Adventure Tourism Guide (RATG) Course, held in Itanagar from 7th to 10th March 2025, with the enthusiastic participation of 48 adventure professionals.
This high-impact training initiative was spearheaded by the Department of Tourism, Arunachal Pradesh, in collaboration with ATOAI and Aborcountry Travels & Expeditions. It aimed to build the professional competencies of adventure guides through a structured curriculum focused on safety, sustainability, and responsible tourism practices.
The training was delivered by the Hanifl Centre, a nationally recognized leader in wilderness first aid and sustainable adventure education. Their expert trainers provided a comprehensive, hands-on learning experience that equipped participants with essential skills to operate safely and responsibly in remote outdoor environments.

The course brought together a passionate group of professionals committed to enhancing adventure tourism standards in India. From risk management and CPR to Leave No Trace principles and environmental ethics, the participants engaged in rigorous training designed to align with global best practices.
