The Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI), in collaboration with India Tourism South Region, successfully concluded the second edition of its Seminar & Adventure Tourism Roadshow on 10th August 2023 at Hyderabad.
With support from Mr. D. Venkatesan, Regional Director, and his team, the event saw robust participation from industry stakeholders, travel professionals, and adventure tourism enthusiasts. Mr. M. Narendran, Asst. Director, India Tourism Hyderabad, graced the event and shared key initiatives of the Ministry of Tourism with a focus on Telangana's adventure potential.
The event featured engaging sessions on safety protocols, SOPs, responsible adventure travel, and effective marketing strategies—providing attendees with valuable insights to enhance their operations and offerings.
A highlight of the roadshow was the B2B showcase featuring authentic adventure tourism sellers from across India. Exhibitors presented a wide range of thrilling and responsible travel experiences, enabling direct engagement and fostering new collaborations within the sector.
In the lead-up to the main event, ATOAI conducted a Certified First Aid, CPR & Wilderness Responder Course for adventure guides and 32 were participated . This hands-on training equipped participants with essential life-saving skills and best practices in Leave No Trace, STCI, and wilderness safety.
ATOAI President Ajeet Bajaj emphasized the organization’s vision of positioning India among the top 10 global adventure tourism destinations, thanking Mr. B. Manohar Rao, Managing Director, Telangana Tourism Development Corporation, for supporting the training program.
With Hyderabad successfully wrapped, the ATOAI Seminar & Adventure Tourism Roadshow now moves on to more regions, continuing its mission to elevate responsible adventure tourism across India.
