December 17–20, 2025
Following the unforgettable energy of the 16th Convention in Tawang where India’s adventure community came together in the dramatic eastern Himalayas, ATOAI now moves to the serene winter landscapes of Kashmir. The 17th Convention arrives in Srinagar carrying forward the same spirit of exploration, resilience and collaboration.
Srinagar transforms in winter. Snow-draped peaks, frozen lakes, pine forests, and quiet valleys create a setting that feels both timeless and thrilling. This natural grandeur forms the canvas for India’s most important gathering of adventure leaders.
The region’s revitalized infrastructure and renewed tourism confidence make Srinagar the perfect destination to host this landmark edition.
This year’s theme reflects ATOAI’s core mission:
Kashmir, with its deep heritage and natural abundance, sets the stage for meaningful dialogue on the future of adventure tourism in the country.
On the second day of the convention, delegates will engage in:
These sessions are designed to spark ideas, expand capabilities and build a stronger ecosystem for adventure travel in India.
The convention extends beyond the venue into Kashmir’s winter wilderness.
Participants explore the iconic winter landscapes of Pahalgam where eco-sensitive adventure tourism and community-led initiatives thrive. It’s a live example of adventure empowering local livelihoods.
A guided visit to Dachigam provides deep insights into wildlife conservation, fragile ecosystems and winter biodiversity and provide essential knowledge for any responsible adventure operator.
A special highlight of this year’s edition is the hot-air balloon experience. Delegates rise above the valley to witness Kashmir’s winter beauty from the sky, a moment that captures the emotion, scale and promise of adventure in India.
Evenings come alive with:
These interactions build powerful connections and open pathways for collaboration and expansion across the adventure sector.
The convention deepens ATOAI’s commitment to sustainability, with this edition designed as a net-zero, climate-conscious gathering. Every element of planning aligns with low-impact principles from carbon mapping to responsible sourcing.
Our approach includes carbon reduction strategies, the elimination of single-use plastics, locally sourced supplies, reduced waste generation and the offsetting of unavoidable emissions.
Adding to this commitment, delegates will travel to the convention centre, SKICC, in traditional Shikaras on the inaugural day, a unique and environmentally friendly transport experience that reflects Kashmir’s culture while reinforcing our green mobility goals. Srinagar thus becomes a living example of how large events can be hosted responsibly in sensitive mountain regions.
From the rugged cliffs of Tawang to the snow-covered valleys of Kashmir, ATOAI’s 17th Annual Convention stands as a celebration of India’s adventure spirit. It brings together experience, innovation, community and nature, all converging to guide the adventure tourism sector toward a safer, greener and more resilient future.
