ATOAI Responsible Adventure Tourism Guide (RATG) Course

The ATOAI Responsible Adventure Tourism Guide (RATG) Course successfully concluded at the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF), New Delhi, with 29 participants from across India.

Designed to strengthen professional competence, safety awareness and responsible practices among adventure tourism professionals, the intensive four-day programme provided participants with practical field skills and learning from experienced experts. Participants also had the opportunity to earn multiple certifications and strengthen their professional credibility as responsible adventure tourism practitioners.

Key Highlights

  • 29 participants successfully completed the four-day RATG Course, including 22 ATOAI members and 7 non-members.
  • Participants represented 14 states and regions, including Maharashtra, Haryana, Karnataka, Mizoram, Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal and Rajasthan.
  • The programme contributed to further strengthening ATOAI’s membership network, with 2 participants joining ATOAI following the course.
  • Mr. Paras Loomba, ATOAI Honorary Secretary, addressed and interacted with participants during the closing ceremony.
  • The ATOAI Secretariat team also interacted with participants, gathering valuable experiences, feedback and suggestions on the course.
  • All participants took the ATOAI Responsible Adventure Tourism Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to responsible, safe and sustainable adventure tourism practices.
  • Participant video testimonials and feedback were recorded during the programme and will be featured across ATOAI’s social media platforms.

The successful completion of the RATG Course marks another important step in ATOAI’s ongoing efforts to build capacity, promote responsible adventure tourism and strengthen safety standards across the industry.
