The 17th ATOAI Annual Convention convened 219 adventure tourism stakeholders industry leaders, policymakers, government officials and experts in Srinagar to strengthen India’s adventure tourism ecosystem. Centered on the theme “Indian Adventure Tourism: Safe, Sustainable & Resilient,” the convention fostered collaboration, innovation, and best practices for the sector’s future growth.
Key Highlights
Day 1: Ceremonial cruise and hot air balloon launch, exhibition inauguration, unveiling of the J&K Adventure Tourism Roadmap & Toolkit, ATOAI Awards 2025, and a high-impact B2B Marketplace.
Day 2: Expert panels, technical sessions, and state presentations focused on safety standards, risk management, sustainability, capacity building, and evolving traveler trends, followed by cultural showcases.
Day 3: Field visits to Pahalgam, Gulmarg, and Sonamarg, offering firsthand experience of regional adventure infrastructure, community engagement, and destination readiness; concluded with a Gala Dinner and Valedictory Session.
Day 4: Delegate departures.
The convention reinforced a collective commitment to positioning Jammu & Kashmir as a world-class adventure tourism destination, grounded in safety, sustainability, and resilience.
